Being a midwife is the best job in the world. Attending births and watching as a woman reaches deep within herself to find the strength to deliver her baby is inspiring to me, and I try to remember to be that strong when life is pushing me around.
Last week, I was honored to attend a birth for a dear friend and client who I have known since she was 15 years old. It was a beautiful delivery, and one that filled my soul with delight. Welcome to the world, little darling!
